Here on the Farm
Animal Assisted Learning
About Us
We are a fully functioning farm located in Freshwater Creek, Victoria, Australia. As one of the first organisations to offer animal assisted activities, we have been developing our program for many years.
Our farm is home to a range of animals, including dogs and cats, guinea pigs and rabbits, chickens, sheep, cows, goats, birds and of course horses and ponies. We’ve even had pigs, ferrets and rescued wildlife like kangaroos, and we often foster rescue kittens.
One of our main activities is horse riding and cowboy skills, which we pride ourselves on being lifelong experts in. We’re also passionate about regenerative farming and environmentally friendly practices, so we grow much of our own produce and love to include participants in the process of preparing, planting, cultivating and harvesting vegetation, all while providing education, learning new skills and having lots of fun.
We love to embrace the outdoors, and also offer many activities including baking food for the animals, dog and pony walks, woodwork, arts and crafts and other farm jobs.
